Jessi Montgomery
Talent sometimes skips a generation but not in Jessi's case. She is the daughter of one of the Council's
other members, Charlene Montgomery. Jessi is the first Student Member of MAC. Jessi started several years ago taking art lessons from her mother, and is now an art instructor with Miss Charlene's School of Art. Jessi, who is an award-winning artist in her own right, teaches the younger students. She has a special talent for teaching the very young; and has started her students, as young as 4 years old, toward a lifetime of art. She teaches several popular adult classes, with ages ranging from teens to seniors. She uses techniques that force her students to open their minds when painting, such as having her students work on some pieces upside down to train their eyes to see exactly what is there, and not a preconceived notion of what the student thinks it should be. The Council hopes to bring you more of Jessi's incredible talent.
