Haley Tam
Haley joins the Council as a Student Member. She has cultivated her talent since the age of three to what now may become a promising career in the arts. Miss Tam's ambition is to attend Savannah College of Art and Design, where she can further enhance her already massive artistic ability.
Although she can create with many mediums, her favorite is acrylic painting. Her art reflects a much more advanced quality and character than other artists of her age.
Haley has many accolades for her work, one of which is winning the 2009 Georgia Farm Bureau Art Contest. Her winning entry will be featured in the 2009 GFB calendar. This will not be the first time Haley's art has been prominently displayed. She has developed design concepts for several publications, including Thomson High School and Maxwell Elementary School Yearbooks. She has had several sketches featured in the McDuffie County Board of Education's Calendar for the past few years, as well. Organizations have used her designs on T-shirts, CD and DVD covers, and the Thomson High School football team proudly makes their entrance to football games while bursting through her elaborate mural banners. She is a busy leader at school and an active youth in the Thomson community, and even finds the time to be the "Voice" of the Thomson High School Boys Baseball Team and Girls Softball Team. MAC is proud to have Haley as a Student Member and hopes to bring you more of her amazing talent.
