The McDuffie Arts Council presents it's signature event "ARTS IN THE ALLEY" A CELEBRATION OF AREA FINE ARTS SATURDAY AUGUST 20TH, 2011 AT THE HISTORIC "OLD CITY WELL" SITE ON 1ST AVE BEHIND MAC ON MAIN ART GALLERY THOMSON, GEORGIA This years event has been moved to this site in order to better accomodate vendors and participants. Access to MAC on Main Art Gallery/Studio facilities are available to vendors only. Food vendors will also be populated closer for better service. The day long event will be held from 10am to 6pm and feature visiual artists, perfomance artists and literary artists as well as fine craftsman. There are spaces available to visiual artists and/or fine craftsman. You have been selected either by reputation or suggestion of a trusted advisor and The McDuffie Arts Council pleasingly extends an invitation to you to join our signature exhibition. Guidelines --The displaying artist must be on-site through the event. --All work must be original work by the artist --No work from commercial molds, kits, handicrafts or manufactured items will be allowed. --All work must be hand produced by the artist. Only signed and numbered prints will be allowed and must be limited numbered no more than 5000. Any prints or reproductions must be of work by the original selling artist and must be clearly marked as a reproduction. --There will be no pricing limitations imposed on artists --Any work not available for purchase must be clearly marked accordingly --There will be no commissions or selling fees gathered by MAC. Artists are responsible for collecting and/or reporting sales tax. If you feel your work may be in a "gray area", please go to our "contact us" page for more instructions. Exhibit Space Fee 12x12 spaces will be $20 for MAC members and $25 for non-members. Non-Profit Groups and Arts Organizations may display under special permission. Other Guidelines Artists much furnish their own display equipment, tent, chairs, tables, etc....The exhibition is outside so artists should plan accordingly. Artist will be responsible for securing tent and wares. The spaces available are on concrete, asphalt or brick. NO stakes, pins or other reinforcement may be driven into these surfaces. Electricity may be available at an aditional charge. Demonstrations are encouraged! Please do not begin to dismantle your display until the event is over or the event director grants permission. Access to the site will begin at 6am. All spaces must be completely set-up by 9:30 am. MAC members will be on-site all day to assist you should you find that you need a break Please find the attatched application and follow the instructions accordingly.
